SPHERE — Strategic Protection & High-Risk Extraction/Response Enclave — was founded in 1789 with a singular mission: combat the forces of the Freak and protect humanity from threats that conventional militaries cannot comprehend, let alone defeat.
For over two centuries, we have operated in the shadows. The wars that fill history books are footnotes compared to the battles we fight. While governments maintain the illusion of normalcy, SPHERE operatives engage entities that defy physics, reason, and basic human decency itself.
Governments know we exist. They just pretend we don't because the alternative — telling their populations the full truth — would cause a level of civilizational panic that not even SPHERE could contain. The deal is simple: we handle what they can't, they say nothing, and everyone sleeps at night. Except us. We never sleep.

In 1789, during the First Siege on Yapponia, three individuals recognized the existential threat posed by the Freak. Together they founded SPHERE and swore to stand against the darkness for as long as it existed. Two of the three remain classified. One does not.
Primary founder and first commander of SPHERE. Led the charge against the Omega Diddlers in WWI. Eliminated Adolf Hitler in 1945 through phasing and concentrated aura before Hitler could complete his summoning ritual with the Dark Freak Lord. Currently retired but maintains active strategic advisory contact with Agent 47. One of only two individuals confirmed capable of directly engaging the Dark Freak Lord.
Co-founder of SPHERE. Witnessed the fall of Yapponia firsthand during the First Siege of 1789. Family name classified under Directive Omega-7. Operational history, current status, and capabilities require elevated clearance to access.

In 1789, the Freak launched their First Siege against Yapponia. SPHERE was born in direct response. Despite 23 years of brutal conflict, Yapponia fell in 1812 — a total Freak victory. The population was either eliminated or converted into Freak forces. The nation was consumed.
This defeat defined SPHERE's doctrine for two centuries. We do not abandon what we failed to protect. Yapponia is where we were born. It is where we failed. It is where we will achieve final victory.
