Albẽrto is the primary founder and first commander of SPHERE. He has been fighting the Freak since before most nation-states that currently exist were founded. His operational record spans over 150 years of active service, encompassing conflicts ranging from the First Siege of Yapponia to the WWII Berlin operation — a career that puts every other SPHERE operative's service in perspective.
He is officially retired. He keeps an eye on things. He advises Agent 47. He does not attend committee meetings, does not file paperwork, and does not answer to anyone who has not been alive for at least a century. SPHERE command accepts these terms without complaint because the alternative is not having Albẽrto, and that is not a position any sane command structure wants to be in.
1789 — Founding of SPHERE
When the Freak launched the First Siege on Yapponia, Albẽrto was one of three people who understood what was actually happening and had the capacity to do something about it. He co-founded SPHERE with Benjamin [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], took command of the organization, and began the 23-year campaign to defend Yapponia. The campaign ultimately failed. Albẽrto has spent every year since working to fix it.
1912 — Classified: Elimination of Robẽrto
Albẽrto eliminated his twin brother Robẽrto in 1912. The circumstances, the method, and the full nature of Robẽrto's threat classification are sealed. What is known: Robẽrto had a connection to the Freak. What that connection was, and how deep it ran, requires Omega-7 clearance to access.
SPHERE does not comment on this operation beyond confirming it occurred and the threat was neutralized.
1914–1918 — World War I: The Omega Diddler Campaign
While humanity fought itself in the trenches, Albẽrto led SPHERE's counter-operation against the Omega Diddlers — an enhanced class of Freak entity that used the chaos of the war to advance their own territorial objectives in Europe. Albẽrto personally commanded the campaign and neutralized the bulk of the Omega Diddler force before they could meaningfully intervene in the human conflict.
1945 — Operation: Final Aura
Albẽrto's most celebrated operation. Nazi Germany had discovered the Jizzlersphere and Hitler had brokered a deal with the Dark Freak Lord Diddy — Freak military support in exchange for a ritual sacrifice Hitler was to complete in the Berlin bunker. The nature of the ritual and what its completion would have meant for the world's dimensional stability is classified at the highest level. SPHERE's analysts have estimated: bad.
Albẽrto phased through four layers of reinforced concrete, steel-plated doors, and a security detail that was not expecting anyone to walk through the walls. He located Hitler in the bunker. He deployed concentrated aura at lethal intensity. Hitler died. The deal with Diddy collapsed. The ritual never completed. The public record says suicide. The public record is wrong.
The Jizzlersphere was recovered from the bunker during the same operation and placed under SPHERE maximum security protocols, where it remains today.
Phasing
Albẽrto can phase through solid matter — walls, doors, floors, reinforced structures, and objects of arbitrary complexity. This is not a movement trick. He transitions his physical state to become non-interactive with solid matter and reverts at will. There is no known material that has successfully prevented his transit.
Concentrated Aura
Albẽrto can manifest and direct his aura as a lethal focused energy. "Concentrated aura" is SPHERE's clinical term for what is essentially a devastating directed energy attack originating from Albẽrto's will. It has successfully eliminated entities including Adolf Hitler, Freak Guard members, and Elder Jizzlers. It is one of two confirmed methods capable of harming the Dark Freak Lord.
Reality Anchoring
Albẽrto can engage entities and threats that exist beyond physical law. He serves as a stabilizing force in dimensional-threat scenarios — his presence actively anchors local reality, making it more resistant to Freak warping attempts. This capability was critical during the Cold War dimensional containment operations.
Albẽrto retired from active field operations after 150 years of service. He maintains a strategic advisory role with Agent 47, with whom he works directly and frequently. SPHERE command treats his advice as authoritative. Albẽrto has seen more than any living operative and more than most dead ones.
He remains one of only two operatives — alongside Ace of Hearts — confirmed capable of directly engaging the Dark Freak Lord. His retirement does not mean he is unavailable. It means he chooses his engagements. He will choose to engage when it matters.
