500 years before the founding of SPHERE, a catastrophic conflict erupted between four great kingdoms known as the Card Kingdoms. The fascist alliance of Spades and Clubs waged war against the democratic coalition of Hearts and Diamonds in what would become one of history's most brutal conflicts.
After several months of intense fighting, the Clubs forces achieved a devastating breakthrough, penetrating the Hearts defensive line. What followed was systematic civilian massacre as Clubs soldiers gunned down non-combatants across Hearts territory. The democratic alliance faced imminent total defeat.
With annihilation looming, the Hearts deployed their final hope: a legendary warrior known only as Ace of Hearts. What he accomplished that day became the stuff of legend. Single-handedly, Ace of Hearts tore apart an entire regiment of Clubs soldiers with his bare hands, reversing the tide of battle through sheer physical dominance and combat prowess.
Following his devastating counterattack, Ace of Hearts rendezvoused with his counterpart, Ace of Diamonds. Together, these two legendary warriors fought valiantly in what would become the final battle of the Card Kingdoms War.
